One of the primary and urgent needs of ADAMARIS is to construct State-of -The-Art well equipped,
specialized hospitals for children and pregnant mothers to fill in the unbearable wide gap left by the
current existing ill-equipped infrastructures causing unbearable loss of lives, either mother or child
dying during birth or child dying soon after birth. Often times some of these doctors are described as
“magicians” due to the ways and means they save lives with very little or nothing to work with. These
new hospitals and clinics will also help to provide a free medical care to under privilege families
across the country and possibly extend such services to the neighboring countries.
Record shows that yearly over 200,000 babies are admitted to a specialist neonatal unit.
Unfortunately there are a comparatively large number of babies who are born but die soon after birth
due to unavailability of the needed equipment and service to sustain and restore the life of the baby,
or who are identified with life-limiting conditions in the first month of their birth. For example:

1. Some babies may be diagnosed antenatal (during pregnancy) with a condition that means they are
likely to only live a few hours or days.
2. Some may find treatment is not appropriate or has failed and is to be withdrawn.
3. Other babies may be discharged but have an ongoing condition that will threaten their life and they
are unlikely to reach adulthood due to limited access to care or cure
